On one hand there is the more than a century lasting fruitful collaboration with New York City based saxofonist Eric Alexander which is documented here in five captivating Live-takes. On the other hand von Wattenwyl abducts the listener with his lyrical piano playing also into the word of pop music (Michael Jackson’s „She’s Out Of My Life“, „Vol d’automne“) or with his remarkable original „Otro Mundo“ and a moanful violoncello in more classical regions._The very differing settings from solo piano to quintet and the brilliant sound quality are responsible for a fascinating and touching listening experience.
