Music of Tibet - Music Explorers

Le film de Deben Bhattacharya, Echoes from Tibet, a été tourné en 1979 au Ladakh (souvent appelé «Little Tibet»), Darjeeling et Dharamsala où vivent de nombreux exilés tibétains et le Dalaï Lama en personne (qui apparaît dans le film). La musique a été enregistrée en 1975 et 1979 dans les communautés de réfugiés du Ladakh, de l'Himalchal Pradesh, du Sikkim et de Darjeeling, ainsi qu'à Sarnath, près de Varanasi où le Bouddha a donné son premier sermon.
