An historic jazz performance celebrates its 60th anniversary: It was Club Saint Germain in paris 21st of December 1958.
For the very first time Ermitage releases a triple gatefold vinyl on 180gr.
In 1959 the record was released in three different albums which all received several awards including the prestigious Grand Prix du disc in 1959 from L’Académie Charles Cros.
Art Blakey and his Jazz Messengers with Lee Morgan in his twenties on the trumpet, Benny Golson on sax, Bobby Timmons on piano and Jymie Merrit as double bass player.
Drummer Kenny Clarke was living in paris at the time and he joined the band for both tracks "A Night In Tunisia” and "Ending With The Theme” in a session to be remembered in the history of Jazz !
